Red Wings’ Drew Miller takes skate to face

Drew Miller raced off after taking Mark Stone's skate to the face.

Detroit Red Wings forward Drew Miller suffered two deep lacerations around his right eye after taking a skate to the face Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators.

Early in the first period, Mark Stone’s skate hit Miller above the right eye during a scramble. According to team PR officials, his return to the game was doubtful.

In 75 games this season, the 31-year-old has five goals, eight assists.
