The New Jersey Devils have placed veteran goaltender Eddie Lack on waivers.

Lack hasn’t yet appeared in any games for New Jersey this season. He was sent down to the AHL’s Binghampton Devils on loan for a conditioning stint on Oct. 29, but the 30-year-old will now have to clear waivers to remain in the minors. New Jersey has Cory Schneider and Keith Kinkaid handling duties in net at the NHL level.

The former Vancouver Canucks and Carolina Hurricanes backstop suited up for just eight games at the NHL level last season, splitting four between the Devils and Calgary Flames. He played 21 games in the AHL in 2017-18, 16 of those coming for Binghampton and the other five for the Stockton Heat.

Lack sports a .855 save percentage and 4.92 goals-against average through two appearances in the AHL so far this season.
