New Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider is looking for a new mask, and he’s asking fans to help him on the design end.
Schneider, along with goalie mask artist David Gunnarsson, are soliciting fans to submit their own designs for a mask that the 29-year-old will wear during the 2015-16 season.
Gunnarsson is the man responsible for some of the best goalie masks in the game. He’s recently completed new designs for Edmonton Oilers goaltender Cam Talbot and Frederik Andersen of the Anaheim Ducks. You can view his work on his Facebook page.
The deadline for submissions is August 7. Five finalists will be selected on August 10. The winner will receive four tickets to a Devils’ home game, a signed goalie stick, and an opportunity to meet with Schneider and take a picture with him and the mask.
You can download a PDF template and view contest rules on the Devils’ official site. So find some inspiration and unleash some creativity. Surely, you can do better than my own “Corey” theme.
