Devils sign Eric Gryba to 1-year contract

The New Jersey Devils have signed defenceman Eric Gryba to a 1-year contract worth $700,000.

Gryba is coming off a year where he only played in 21 games for the Edmonton Oilers, during which he recorded just two assists and a plus-4 rating.

The 30-year-old was originally drafted by the Senators in the third round of the 2006 NHL draft.
