Cherry praises Leafs goalies in Twitter rant

Ron Mclean and Don Cherry discuss the great run by the Winnipeg Jets, Corey Perry’s injury, and remember Jean Beliveau.

Quarterbacks might take issue with Don Cherry’s latest Twitter rant.

The Coach’s Corner star fired off an eight-tweet mini-essay Friday, explaining why goaltenders play the most important position in all of sports.

Cherry used Thursday night’s results to build his case, then slammed his point home by revealing the Toronto Maple Leafs’ game plan.

The Jhonas Enroth metaphor is a beauty. Thumbs up:

To be fair, it should be noted that the Maple Leafs give up an average of 33.6 shots per game, but Cherry’s right — they do get outshot by an average of 3.6 pucks per night.
