The Calgary Flames acquired defenceman Dougie Hamilton from the Boston Bruins Friday in exchange for Calgary’s 2015 first-round pick (15th overall) and two second-round picks (45th overall and 52nd overall).

Hamilton, who becomes a restricted free agent on July 1, is expected to be a solid No. 1 blueliner for years to come.
