Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin did not travel with his club to Detroit following a 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday, according to Sportsnet’s Eric Engels.
Drouin participated fully in the victory, scoring on a penalty shot during the tilt, and spoke to media following the game. However, his status was updated to day-to-day while he deals with a lower-body injury, the team announced Thursday.
Montreal recalled forward Daniel Carr from its AHL affiliate in Laval.
Drouin has five goals and 17 points through 25 games with the Canadiens thus far this season. Carr has amassed 12 goals and 19 points through 20 games with the Laval Rockets.
