Drouin, Weber return to Canadiens lineup vs. Sabres

Jonathan Drouin left the game in Montreal after apparently suffering an injury to his hand, which he was icing on the bench before he went.

UPDATE: Shea Weber and Jonathan Drouin both returned to the Canadiens lineup on Saturday.

The Montreal Canadiens will get a boost to their lineup Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres in the form of forward Jonathan Drouin. The 22-year-old sat out Thursday’s 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild after suffering an apparent hand injury in Tuesday’s win over the Vegas Golden Knights.

Shea Weber skated with teammates Saturday morning and is also expected to return to the lineup, unless there is a last-minute change of plans. The defenceman missed Thursday’s game with what the team called a lower-body injury that is not believed to be serious.

Both Drouin and Weber have three goals, eight assists and four penalty minutes in 16 games this season.

Charlie Lindgren will get the start in net with Carey Price and Al Montoya both out with injuries. Zachary Fucale will back up Lindgren.
