Ducks’ Cogliano to have hearing for hit on Kings’ Kempe

Watch as Andrew Cogliano is given two minutes for interference after this questionable hit on Adrian Kempe.

Anaheim Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano will have a hearing with the NHL over an interference penalty he took in the first period of Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings.

Cogliano was given two minutes for interference after he hit Kings forward Adrian Kempe with a high shot at open ice. Kempe stayed in the game.

If suspended, Cogliano’s career iron man streak will be snapped. Since making his NHL debut in 2007, he’s played in 830 consecutive games — the longest active streak in the league.

The 30-year-old has five goals and 18 points this season. He signed a three-year contract extension with the Ducks on Friday.
