Ducks forward Nick Ritchie fined $4K for cross-checking vs. Canadiens

The NHL has fined Anaheim Ducks winger Nick Ritchie $4,121.86 for cross-checking Montreal Canadiens defenceman Christian Folin on Friday.

The amount is the maximum fine allowed under the NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Ritchie, 23, charged Folin in the neck area and was assessed a two-minute roughing penalty in the first period. The Ducks beat the Canadiens 8-2.

The forward has nine goals, 20 assists and 56 penalty minutes in 51 games with Anaheim this season.
