The Anaheim Ducks recalled forward Nick Ritchie from the San Diego Gulls of the AHL, the team announced Saturday.
Ritchie has been one of Anaheim’s top prospects since being drafted 10th overall in 2014.
The burly power forward handled himself well in his first professional season, scoring 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 38 games with the Gulls, while making the 2016 AHL All-Star Game.
He made his NHL debut this season, playing in 33 games while scoring two goals and two assists.

The 20-year-old could make his NHL playoff debut Sunday night when the Ducks try to even their Round 1 series against the Nashville Predators.
Anaheim dropped their series opener Friday night by a 3-2 score.
