Anaheim Ducks forward Nick Ritchie has been fined $4,121.86 for roughing Buffalo Sabres forward Vladimir Sobotka in Wednesday’s game.

It’s the maximum allowable fine under the NHL and NHLPA’s collective bargaining agreement.

The incident occurred after a whistle late in the second period. As both teams skated to their benches for a commercial break, Ritchie pushed Sobotka to the ice. Sabres goalie Linus Ullmark then stepped in and hit Ritchie with his blocker.

The two teams combined for 40 penalty minutes in the 5-2 win by the Ducks.
