Ducks sign defenceman Chris Wideman to one-year, two-way contract

The Anaheim Ducks have signed defenceman Chris Wideman to a one-year, two-way contract.

Wideman, 29, has appeared in 181 NHL games with the Florida Panthers, Edmonton Oilers and Ottawa Senators.

Last season split with those three teams, he had two goals and seven points in 25 games. He added three goals and 15 points in the Springfield Thunderbirds and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins last season.
