Ducks sign forward Benoit-Olivier Groulx to entry-level deal

The Anaheim Ducks have signed centre Benoit-Olivier Groulx to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The 19-year-old was selected by Anaheim in the second round (54th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft and currently plays with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL where he has two goals and three points in three games this season.

Groulx registered career highs in goals (31), assists (49) and points (80) in 65 games last season while adding four goals and 12 points in 10 playoff games, leading the Mooseheads to the QMJHL President’s Cup final before losing in six games to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

The French-born winger also had a goal and four points in four games at the 2019 Memorial Cup.
