Terry has spent the last three seasons playing in the NCAA for the University of Denver and is coming off his most successful season, posting 48 points in 39 games.
The 20-year-old played a crucial role in team United States’ gold medal at the World Junior Hockey Championship in 2017 after he scored three shootout goals in the semi-finals against Russia and the deciding shootout-winner in the finals against Canada.
He also played for the United States this past February at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
Terry was drafted by the Ducks in the fifth round of the 2015 draft.
