Ducks sign veteran goalie Ryan Miller to one-year contract

Veteran goalie Ryan Miller is returning to the Anaheim Ducks next season.

The Ducks announced on Thursday that the soon to be 39-year-old had agreed to a one-year contract. Eric Stephens of The Athletic reports the contract is worth $1.125 million.

The 2019-20 season will be Miller’s third with the Ducks. The all-time leader in wins by a U.S.-born goaltender, Miller posted a 8-7-2 record in 20 games last season with a .912 save percentage and 2.76 goals-against average.

Miller won the Vezina Trophy in 2010 and for his career has a 378-275-81 record with one tie and 44 shutouts.
