SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Oklahoma City Barons right-winger Jordan Eberle was named American Hockey League player of the month Wednesday after recording 20 points over 11 games in December.

Eberle led all AHL skaters in scoring with 11 goals and nine assists to take the honour for the second straight month. The 22-year-old Regina native leads the AHL with 24 goals and 49 points in 32 games for the Barons this season.

Eberle had 76 points (34-42) in 78 games for the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers last season. He was selected by the Oilers with the 22nd overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
