You know you’ve done something impressive on the ice when the world’s greatest player wants to see the replay.
Though he had yet to see footage, Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby had high praise for the young Edmonton Oilers’ execution of Disney’s dynamic “Flying V” attack during their loss to the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday.
Crosby on Oilers using Flying V: I didn’t see that. That’s awesome. I want to see it. That’s a tough one to pull off

Oilers head coach Ralph Krueger was asked about the triangular breakout, helmed by veteran Ryan Smyth at the pointy end, during the team’s pregame press conference on Thursday:
“We definitely want to attack!” – Krueger laughs when asked about the #Oilers “Flying V” formation during Tuesday’s game

Thanks to everyone who tweeted us the “Flying V” screen shot! Krueger and Bombay are distant cousins… #notreally twitter.com/EdmontonOilers…
