The Edmonton Oilers re-signed one of their RFAs on Monday.
The team came to terms with power forward Zack Kassian on a three-year extension Monday. Terms have not yet been announced.
Kassian played 79 games this past season, scoring seven goals and 24 points. It capped off his second season with the team since they acquired him from Montreal for Ben Scrivens.
The 26-year-old was originally drafted 13th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2009, but has spent most of his career to date with the Vancouver Canucks, for whom he played 171 games. Kassian’s best season came in 2013-14, when he scored 14 goals and 29 points.
In 13 playoff games for the Oilers this season, Kassian scored three goals and accumulated 27 penalty minutes.
The Oilers also issued qualifying offers to four other RFAs on Monday, including Leon Draisaitl.
