Calgary Flames defenceman Michael Stone has been placed on injured reserve with a blood clot. There is no timeline for his recovery.
Stone’s blood clot was discovered by the team on Thursday morning and general manager Brad Treliving says they will have more information over the next few days.
Michael Frolik is also on injured reserve after missing the Flames’ 6-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night. He’s been listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury and won’t travel with the team on their upcoming road trip to Vegas and Arizona.
Sam Bennett, meanwhile, missed practice on Thursday but is fine after blocking a shot in Wednesday’s win.
