Flames’ Hamonic leaves game vs. Blues with lower-body injury

The Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues erupt into a line brawl after Vladimir Tarasenko takes a shot on Mike Smith after the whistle.

Calgary Flames defenceman Travis Hamonic left Wednesday’s game against the St. Louis Blues with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Hamonic logged 4:56 of ice time before his departure.

Flames coach Glen Gulutzan says there is a chance Hamonic will play Friday against the Montreal Canadiens and the decision to remove him from Wednesday’s contest was precautionary.
