The Calgary Flames will be looking to rebound from a stunning 6-2 loss in Game 3 of their first-round series against the Colorado Avalanche when they hit the ice for Game 4 on Wednesday night as slim -115 favourites on the NHL betting lines at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Calgary drew first blood in the series, tallying a decisive 4-0 win in Game 1, but returned to its recent struggles to find the back of the net in two subsequent losses to Colorado, and has now potted just 10 total goals in its last five outings ahead of Wednesday night’s matchup at the Pepsi Center.

The Flames’ recent offensive woes have also contributed to their shaky results since clinching the top seed in the Western Conference, with the club going 1-4-0 over their past five outings.

Despite falling behind 2-1 in the series, the Flames still enjoy a clear edge over Colorado head-to-head, posting wins in nine of 12 meetings since March 2016, according to the OddsShark NHL Database, and remain set as -130 favourites on the NHL series prices.

The Avalanche return to action in Game 4 as a -105 wager as they pursue their eighth straight victory on home ice. However, Colorado has plenty of work to do to claim its first playoff series victory since 2008, and pay out as a +110 wager on the NHL series prices, but the club has made gains on the Stanley Cup odds, where it now sits at +1800.

Over in the Eastern Conference, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be looking to take a 3-1 stranglehold in their opening-round tilt with the Boston Bruins when they hit the ice for Game 4 on Wednesday as -125 home favourites.

The Maple Leafs rebounded from a 4-1 loss in a rough-and-tumble Game 2 clash in Boston as +125 underdogs, returning to a focus on speed, skill, and responsible defence to retake the series lead with a 3-2 win on Monday night.

Now in control of a playoff series with Boston for the first time in 60 years, the Maple Leafs have made steady gains at the sportsbooks, climbing to -145 favourites on the series prices. However, Toronto has failed to record consecutive wins over the Bruins in eight meetings, dating back to last year’s first-round series loss to their Original Six rivals.

Elsewhere on the Wednesday NHL playoff odds, the Nashville Predators have bounced back from an opening-game loss to take a 2-1 series lead over Dallas, but enter Game 4 with the Stars as small -105 road underdogs.
