The veteran defenceman lay on the ice in pain for several moments before gliding to the Flames’ bench.
The 36-year-old has 26 points in 53 games this season, his 14th in the NHL.
The Toronto native won last year’s Norris Trophy and is a three-time all-star.
Giordano has spent his entire career with the Flames, racking up 478 points over 886 games.
