Flames’ Matthew Tkachuk a game-time decision for Game 3 vs. Stars

Matthew Tkachuk was forced to leave Game 2 of the Flames vs. Stars after taking massive hits multiple times through the course of the game.

Matthew Tkachuk will be a game-time decision for the Calgary Flames for Friday’s Game 3 of their best-of-seven series against the Dallas Stars, head coach Geoff Ward announced.

Tkachuk did not finish Game 2 against the Stars after being hit by both Jamie Benn and Jamie Oleksiak mid-way through the third period. The 22-year-old appeared unbalanced on his skates after the hit and immediately went to the Flames locker room.

Dallas went on to win the game 5-4 to tie the series at one game apiece.

In 69 regular-season appearances with Calgary this year, Tkachuk scored 23 times and added 38 assists en route to leading the team in points with 61.
