Flames’ Noah Hanifin leaves game vs. Golden Knights with upper-body injury

Calgary Flames defenseman Noah Hanifin left the game after colliding with Vegas Golden Knights forward Brandon Pirri and teammate Milan Lucic.

Calgary Flames defenceman Noah Hanifin will not return to Sunday’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights after suffering an upper-body injury.

Hanifin left the game after he was involved in a collision between Milan Lucic and Brandon Pirri in the first period. The 23-year-old played only three shifts in the opening frame and was not on the bench to start the second period.

In 69 games this season, Hanifin has five goals and 22 points while averaging a career-high 21:27 of ice time.
