The Calgary Flames have placed defenceman Travis Hamonic on injured reserve, the team announced Friday.
In a corresponding move, the Flames have recalled defenceman Rasmus Andersson from AHL Stockton.
Hamonic suffered a lower-body injury in Wednesday’s game against the St. Louis Blues. After that game, head coach Glen Gulutzan said there was a chance Hamonic could play Friday but it’s now unclear how long he will be out.
Andersson was a second-round pick by the Flames in 2015. He has appeared in two games with the team in his career.
