Flames sign defenceman Carl-Johan Lerby to entry-level contract

The Calgary Flames have signed Swedish free agent defenceman Carl-Johan Lerby to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Lerby, 21, had five goals and 21 points in 47 games with the Malmo Redhawks of the Swedish Hockey League last season.

According to the Flames, Lerby will play for Malmo in the 2019-20 season before joining the Flames for the 2020-21 campaign.
