The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired centre Tyler Pitlick from the Dallas Stars in exchange for forward Ryan Hartman, the teams announced Monday.

Although he missed time due to a wrist injury, Pitlick played 47 regular season games for Dallas last season while recording eight goals and 12 points.
He was signed by the Stars as a free agent on July 1, 2017 after playing for the Edmonton Oilers for parts of three seasons.
In his career, Pitlick has 33 goals and 53 points in 185 regular season NHL games.
Hartman played 19 games with the Flyers, recording two goals and six points. He joined the Flyers through a trade deadline deal this season from Nashville in exchange for Wayne Simmonds.
