Flyers’ Andrew MacDonald leaves game with apparent head injury

Check this out, Andrew MacDonald is hit hard with no call on the play and the play continues with Eric Fehr scoring for the Penguins.

Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Andrew MacDonald had to leave Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh with an apparent head injury after taking a hit from Penguins forward Tom Kuhnhackl.

About midway through the third period, MacDonald turned to reverse the puck in his own zone with the forechecking Kuhnhackl closing in.

MacDonald lost his balance had his head pinched against the boards.

To make matters worse, Penguins forward Matt Cullen picked up the loose puck and set up Eric Fehr with a nice feed to give Pittsburgh a 5-2 lead while MacDonald was on the ice.

When the 29-year-old did get back up, he went straight to the Flyers dressing room.
