Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart is out two to three weeks with a right lower abdominal strain, the team announced on Wednesday.

Brian Elliott will start in net Wednesday night against the St. Louis Blues, while goaltender Alex Lyon has been recalled from the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms under emergency conditions.

Hart, 21, left Flyers practice early on Tuesday after “he felt a little something,” head coach Alain Vigneault told reporters. Hart has a 15-11-3 record this season with a .905 save percentage and a 2.61 goals-against average.

The 27-year-old Lyon, who sports a .916 save percentage and a 2.56 GAA in the AHL, will serve as Elliott’s backup against the defending Stanley Cup champions.
