Flyers place David Schlemko on waivers for purpose of buyout

The Philadelphia Flyers have placed defenceman David Schlemko on unconditional waivers with the intention of buying out his contract.

Schlemko, 32, has one year remaining on his current deal with a cap hit of $2.1 million.
