Flyers’ Radko Gudas suspended 6 games for interference

Radko Gudas is causing trouble once again in preseason, this time in a game against the Boston Bruins on Saturday with a high-looking hit along the boards on Boston Bruins prospect Austin Czarnik, knocking the kid out of the game.

Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Radko Gudas has been suspended six games for interference on Boston Bruins forward Austin Czarnik.

The 26-year-old knocked Czarnik out of a pre-season game on Saturday and was assessed a minor penalty for boarding. Czarnik has been diagnosed with a concussion.

This is the second suspension of Gudas’ career.

He was given a three-game ban for an illegal chack to the head of Mika Zibanejad last season.

Gudas will forfeit just over $245,000 in salary while suspended. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
