Flyers sign first-round pick Ivan Provorov

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed their 2015 first round draft pick Ivan Provorov, the team announced Friday.

The team did not disclose details of the three-year entry-level deal.

The Russian defenceman climbed the prospect rankings all season, and was selected seventh overall by the Flyers.

He registered 61 points in 60 games with the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings in 2014-15, adding another 13 points in 19 playoff games.
