The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled Kasperi Kapanen from the American Hockey League.
The Finnish forward has 18 goals and 43 points in 43 games with the Marlies this season.
The 20-year-old was a part of the package acquired by the Leafs from Pittsburgh in exchange for winger Phil Kessel in July of 2015.
Kapanen made his NHL debut as part of a nine-game stint with the Leafs last season, recording no points.
He’ll play on the Toronto’s fourth line with Brian Boyle and Matt Martin on Tuesday when the Leafs host the Florida Panthers.
