Golden Knights ink defenceman Nick Holden to two-year contract

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed Nick Holden to a two-year deal, the team announced Sunday.

The contract is worth $4 million total and carries a $2-million cap hit.

Holden, 31, was reported to have interest from the Golden Knights and Bruins. He registered one goal and five points in 18 games with the Bruins this past spring after being dealt to the club by the New York Rangers at the trade deadline.

The rearguard has tallied a total of 36 goals and 112 points in 374 career NHL regular seasons.
