The Vegas Golden Knights have locked up forward Ryan Reaves on a two-year contract one day prior to the NHL’s free agency period opening.

Some teams were willing to offer Reaves a three-year deal, but the Golden Knights matched the money on a shorter term.

Reaves split the 2017-18 season between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Golden Knights, totalling four goals and six assists in 79 games. He added two goals in 10 playoff games with Vegas.
