The Vegas Golden Knights have signed forward Peyton Krebs to a three-year entry-level deal, the team announced Saturday.
Krebs, a Calgary native, was the 17th overall selection in the 2019 NHL Draft. He partially tore his Achilles tendon during off-season training just two weeks before the draft and hasn’t played since, though he’s been skating since the beginning of October.
The Golden Knights returned Krebs to his junior team, the Winnipeg ICE, on Friday. He could return to action as soon as Saturday night against the Everett Silvertips.
"The excitement of winning… score some goals with my teammates, give them a hug."
