Golden Knights sign William Carrier to four-year contract extension

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed forward William Carrier to a four-year contract extension worth an average annual value of $1.4 million.

GM Kelly McCrimmon made the announcement Thursday in a press release.

Carrier, 25, has seven goals and 11 assists in 65 games this season for the Golden Knights for a career-high 18 points.

Typically a grinder with 199 hits this season — sixth in the NHL — the LaSalle, Que., native is in his third year with Vegas.

The Golden Knights snatched him from the Buffalo Sabres during the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft.
