The Vegas Golden Knights will be without centre Paul Stastny for up to two months, head coach Gerard Gallant announced on Monday.

Stastny, who signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract with the Knights over the summer, has been sidelined by a lower-body injury since Oct. 9. He has no points in three games this season.

Stastny was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 10 and Cody Eakin was slotted into his spot in the lineup.
