Vegas Golden Knights forward William Karlsson will be out of the lineup for the foreseeable future, as the team announced he is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

No further details about the nature of the injury have been made available by the team at this time.

When the Golden Knights take to the ice tonight against the Ottawa Senators for new head coach Peter DeBoer’s debut behind the bench, it will mark the first time Karlsson has missed a game while playing for Vegas.

The 27-year-old snapped a seven-game pointless streak during Tuesday’s 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres, picking up an assist on a Reilly Smith’s power-play goal.

In 49 games played this season, Karlsson has scored 10 goals and added 24 assists.
