Erik Karlsson wasn’t prepared for what was lurking in the water.
The Ottawa Senators are in Florida for a meeting with the Florida Panthers on Sunday, and the team the day off on Saturday. Naturally, the Swedish defenceman decided to partake in a round of golf.
Karlsson, accompanied by PGA Tour player Jesper Parnevik and former teammate Daniel Alfredsson, took to the course at Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla. Parnevik posted a video of his countryman’s run-in with a fearsome creature: Standing by the water, Karlsson doesn’t realize that an alligator lurks nearby. When the alligator emerges from the water, he jumps back, clearly shaken.
While Karlsson had a good scare, at least everyone had a good laugh, too.
