Gotta See It: Penguins release so-bad-it’s-great Elf remake

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

But if that doesn’t work, a good old remake of the movie Elf will also do the trick.

That’s exactly what the Pittsburgh Penguins did, gifting the internet with two minutes of “Buddy” comedy on Friday evening.

If you’re a fan of the Will Ferrell Christmas classic—or even if you aren’t—you should probably give this so-bad-it’s-amazing video a watch.

Highlights include an elf-like Chris Kunitz bidding farewell to a narwhal, Matt Cullen as the dad (obviously), Sidney Crosby‘s snowball fight, a vested Phil Kessel as a department store manager, and Marc-Andre Fleury eating all the free candy he can find.

Enjoy!
