Gotta See It: Radko Gudas meets police K9 dog named Radko

The Rangers tied the game up with just 2:21 left in the third but Travis Konecny scored on Ondrej Pavelec to get the Flyers a 4-3 overtime win.

There’s a new Radko in town, and he’s a very good boy.

On Wednesday, Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Radko Gudas met K9 Radko, a member of the Berlin Police Department in New Jersey who was named after the NHLer.

The team tweeted out a video of the special post-practice meet-and-greet:

Aside from their shared name, the pair of Radkos have quite a bit in common. Both hail from the Czech Republic—as officer (and big Flyers fan) Steven Palma explained in the video, that was a factor in the pup’s naming—and both are gritty defenders and team players, too. Both also seem very friendly when they’re not on the job.
