Hockey Canada posts vacant CEO position online

Have you ever dreamed about being the president and CEO of Hockey Canada? Well, now’s your chance to put your name forward.

The position of president/CEO of Hockey Canada was posted on LinkedIn eight days ago and the job posting is also currently listed on the Hockey Canada website. The position has been vacant since Bob Nicholson resigned back on Apr. 4. It will become effective on July 1.

According to LinkedIn, there have already been 44 applicants for the job – so you better get your resumes and cover letters together quick.

The posting located here states all applications must be complete before May 19.

The official job description is stated as the following:

“The CEO leads Hockey Canada to heighten performance and to achieve elevated strategic objectives, drive and achieve organizational excellence, build a strong and successful executive team and organization, lead change and transformation, and ensure a strong client/member-service orientation across our organization. The CEO drives the development and implementation of the strategic plan and objectives with a demonstrated passion for Canadian sport and desire for grassroots development and strong international results.”

As well, there are subsections listed for strategic leadership, NHL/NHLPA/CHL/IIHF strategy and relationships, board strategy, and operational effectiveness.
