The Carolina Hurricanes have signed forward Brian Gibbons to a one-year, two-way contract the team announced Thursday.
The deal will pay Gibbons $725,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 at the AHL level, with a $225,000 guarantee.
The 31-year-old played 64 games with the Ottawa Senators and Anaheim Ducks last season, recording eight goals and 19 points in 64 games.
“Brian is an experienced winger with nearly 200 games of NHL experience,” Hurricanes general manager Don Waddell said in a press release.
“He spent all of last season at the NHL level and bolsters our organizational depth at forward.”
