New York Islanders forward Casey Cizikas left Tuesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers after getting tangled up with an opponent early in the first period and won’t return due to a lower-body injury.
Cizikas was entering the offensive zone when he was struck by Flyers defenceman Ivan Provorov. Cizikas appeared to cut his leg in the collision and was forced to crawl off the ice.
The 28-year-old has 10 goals and four assists in 47 games this season.
