The New York Islanders have loaned forward Josh Ho-Sang to the AHL’s Bridgeport Soundtigers and activated centre Valtteri Filppula from injured reserve.
Ho-Sang, 22, appeared in 10 games for the Islanders after his callup on Dec. 9. He picked up one goal and two points in those games, and was also a healthy scratch twice during that time.
In 26 AHL games this season, the former first-round pick has two goals and 22 points.
Filppula returns to the lineup after missing two games with an upper-body injury. The 34-year-old has nine goals and 19 points in 38 games this season, his first with the Islanders after signing a one-year, $2.75 million contract in the off-season.
