The New York Islanders have recalled 2018 first-round pick Oliver Wahlstrom from AHL Bridgeport for the first time.

In a corresponding move, forward Casey Cizikas was placed on injured reserve.

Wahlstrom, 19, was the 11th overall selection in 2018. The Islanders also took Noah Dobson — who made his NHL debut last week — with the 12th pick in that draft.

A forward, Wahlstrom has three points in four AHL games this season. Last season with Boston College, he had 19 points in 36 games.

The team hasn’t disclosed any details about Cizikas’s injury, but the nine-year veteran was spotted wearing a walking boot on Saturday.

Cizikas has one assist in three games this season.
