Islanders sign Seth Helgeson to 2-year contract

The New York Islanders have agreed to terms with defenceman Seth Helgeson on a two-year, two-way contract.

Helgeson, 27, played all 76 games for the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers last season and served as an alternate captain.
