Jalen Ramsey teases he has something in the works with the NHL

When Jacksonville Jaguars All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey boldly claimed he could crack the NHL in just six months despite never lacing up a pair of skates in an ESPN The Magazine profile a couple weeks back he, understandably, ruffled a few feathers.

Since then, his proclamation has gone viral among the hockey world with fans, the media and even the players discussing his comments.

And while there isn’t a consensus among all the debate, the one thing everyone can agree on is we want to at least see him try.

Never one to back down from a challenge, it would seem Ramsey is looking to do just that, sending out a tweet Tuesday night suggesting he has something in collaboration with the NHL to see if his gridiron skills translate to the ice.

The exact nature of this is still unknown, but a tweet he sent out about an hour earlier suggests it’ll be something that will test his on-ice agility and balance with a quote tweet praising the abilities of Nashville Predators star defenceman P.K. Subban.

There are worse players to take notes on skating than Subban, certainly, and as his “NothingButRespect” hashtag shows, Ramsey at least acknowledges that NHL players are every bit the world-class athletes their NFL peers are.

Now we just can’t wait to see if Ramsey can even skate backwards, let alone at the speed he does that allows him to shut down some of the NFL’s top receiving threats.
